At ASDA diner, I am responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food and drinks whilst ensuring excellent customer service. My role includes taking the orders accurately, serving and preparing food, working on the till, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene and more. Cleanliness and hygiene must be at a high standard in both the kitchen and the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations. Working in a fast-paced environment, I efficiently have to manage multiple things, answer customers with any queries and contribute to teamwork.

In this role, I was responsible for preparing and serving food and drinks, making a variety of hot and cold beverages as a barista, making sandwiches, pizza, rolls, etc, and ensuring the cleanliness of both the kitchen and café. Engaging with the customers and providing excellent customer service are key aspects of this job role, with strong communication levels and a fast-paced environment. Working as a team closely with other team members, implying a cooperative and fun work environment. I was offered a supervisor position in this role, but unfortunately had to decline due to University commitments.

In this role I had to go to different clients’ houses to collect their dogs and take them for a walk for however long the customer requested. I had to ensure the dog got enough exercise, pick up after the dog etc. Also, I had to dog sit sometimes in the house, feed and play with them.
