During my employment at the Masons, I have developed and gained a wide range of skills and experience. I was promoted to a managerial role within a week of employment, which proves I'm a responsible, dedicated and hard working individual. In my role, I'm expected to run shifts, manage a small team of staff to ensure excellent service and be responsible for the pub and customers.
As a Supervisor, I'm expected to carry out various roles to ensure the establishment runs smoothly and effectively. I carried out various admin duties, such as organising stock inventory to prevent shortages during peak hours and ordering stock when supplies are running low. I additionally also am relied on to take bookings, and sort out menu orders and requirements especially for large parties. Also, I manage cash flow, ensuring correct transaction procedures were followed and cash up the till every night, making sure all transactions add up and are correct. I also have experience in doing payroll.
Additionally, as a Supervisor, I have the duty to ensure shifts run smoothly, ensuring communication between kitchen and bar staff, and customer service is at a high standard. I help guide my team to make sure all areas of the shift are covered, monitoring all aspects. I had developed a strong skill in communication as I had to communicate with various staff members and managers to ensure everything is running smoothly and if they needed anything, showing strong teamwork skills.
