Call Monitoring Role:
At local solutions, I effectively monitor care staff in completing calls efficiently and managing medication promptly, a comprehensive approach is essential. This involves utilizing clock in reports of visit logs and medication administration records (eMAR) to help verify that care tasks are completed fully and accurately, while ensuring medication is given according to the five rights: right resident, right medication, right dose, right time, and right route. Together, these practices create a robust framework for ensuring that care staff deliver quality services efficiently and in line with best practices for medication management.
OHH Admin Role:
As an Out-of-Hours Admin, my role would involve managing incoming phone calls and queries in a manner that is both efficient and professional, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly and with the utmost respect. When answering calls, I would listen actively to the caller’s concerns, demonstrating empathy while maintaining professionalism. I would ensure all inquiries, whether related to scheduling, emergencies, or other operational matters, are handled quickly and accurately, providing clear information or directing them to the appropriate department as needed. In situations requiring urgent attention, I would prioritize the request, ensuring that the correct steps are taken immediately and following up as necessary. Throughout, I would maintain a calm and patient demeanor, treating each caller with respect, ensuring that all interactions are handled with confidentiality protocols. Additionally, I would log and document all calls and queries to ensure proper follow-up and record-keeping for future reference.
