I am an extremely diligent and ambitious individual. Having achieved 4 A*s in my A levels, I constantly set myself challenging goals, such as working towards a First at university while having 2 jobs.
- I am fully committed to getting the most out of my life at university, from my participation in the executive committee for the Durham equestrian team to being promoted to a junior manager for one of the largest Student-led events companies, Wilder Events. This involves recruiting new promoters, marketing exciting weekly events and running the functions.
I excel when placed in a high-pressure environment. St Chad’s bar is one of the busiest bars in Durham and I am the manager in charge. Nothing phases me and I bring plenty of energy to every task. I really enjoy communicating with clients as I am rarely seen without a smile on my face.
Being interviewed and selected from a number of applicants as a manager for Wilder Events and ChadsBar has provided me with indispensable leadership skills, including the ability to organise a team, keep staff motivated and put forward new and creative ideas for Wilder Events.
Being a member of the executive committee for my university riding team has furthered these crucial leadership skills. Qualifying as a team for nationals this summer was a real highlight. It keeps my ambitions high as we aim to pull together and qualify all teams for BUCS nationals to achieve even better results than last year.
