Students Against Species Extinction
Edinburgh, Scotland
09.2024 - Current
  • Led a group of 8 students who were also a part of the Students Against Species Extinction subgroup, part of a wider network between universities worldwide. I was appointed President of this branch of the group, and had the responsibility of representing Edinburgh at the Global 'Biodiversity Ball', this included giving a presentation summary of our research into the importance of endemic plant species to the Lebialem Highlands, Cameroon.
  • We researched extensively for this presentation, and I delegated tasks to other team members to ensure a smooth and harmonious community work ethic was fostered during our meetings.

Youth Ambassador

Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne
05.2019 - Current
  • Aided youth awareness of the Charity's focus: protecting endangered species of animals and plants, primarily the Cross River Gorilla.
  • Led a student group called the 'Botany Society' in which I created and held weekly presentations in which we discussed and drew a new species of plant, the group was so successful approximately 50 students signed up and regularly attended sessions.
  • Improved youth outreach by online videos and digital interviews.
  • Enhanced community cohesion through facilitating dialogue between different age groups.
  • Championed campaigns involving my previous school and its students, including designing and distributing seeds within seed cases in order to increase local biodiversity.
