I am 20 years old and currently working as a manager at Starbucks which has honed my leadership skills, ability to thrive under pressure and effective decision making abilities. I am passionate about applying my skills in a professional setting where i can continue to grow and contribute to a team. Before stepping into management, I worked in various roles within the hospitality industry further cultivating my skills in customer engagement, teamwork and service excellence. These experiences have provided me with a well-rounded understanding of business operations and the importance of adaptability in achieving organisation goals. My diverse background in hospitality management and academic disciplines has prepared me for the challenges of a dynamic work environment and I am eager to take the next step in my career while continuing to develop my leadership potential.
Whilst in this job role i have gained a hands on experience in managing and motivating a high performance team, delivering exceptional customer service and overseeing daily operations in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities include inventory management, monitoring financial performance, training new staff and ensuring the store meets company policies and brand/quality standards. In this role i was responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations to ensure a seamless and high quality customer experience. I managed a small team of bartenders and created an engaging atmosphere for both staff and guests. I also handled the cashing up processes as well as locking and securing the premises and briefing the team before opening to customers
This role was bar supervisor at a series of weddings at Pontefract town hall across the month as well as live music events at Wakefield town hall the following month. My duties included greeting guests, taking orders and ensuring that drinks were served quickly and accurately whilst maintaining a high level of customer service. I managed the bar inventory for the events and handled cash and payments, whilst monitoring the rest of the staff to ensure the overall success of each event.
