I worked for seventeen years at Mccoll's in Whaley Bridge until the store was closed when Morrisons took over the brand. After my redundancy I took a break to pursue my hobby of writing. Although I enjoyed the break in my career I felt it was time to return to the workplace and retrained as a Morrisons convenience store manager. Unfortunately Morrisons have named my store as one of the hundred stores that it plans to close, it is frustrating that I haven't been given the opportunity to try and increase store profitability.
As the store will be closing within the next couple of months I am looking for a new, longer term position in the retail sector.
