I am a caring, patient, and creative individual with over three years of experience as a nursery assistant, along with a lifetime of learning and supporting children through my mum's Ofsted-registered childminding business. Growing up in a childcare environment, I developed a natural ability to connect with children, always seeing the world through their eyes and creating safe, nurturing spaces for them to thrive.
During my time as a nursery assistant, I have gained a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that the activities I engage in contribute to children's development in key areas such as Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development. My role as a 1:1 assistant for an autistic child was particularly inspiring, as I saw first-hand how patience, trust, and sensory play can have a profound impact on a child's progress, helping him go from being non-verbal to saying his first words.
I'm often praised for my proactive approach, whether it's stepping in to help staff with daily routines or engaging children in creative and educational activities. Nurseries frequently request me back, which speaks to my ability to build strong relationships with both children and staff. I'm passionate about making sure every child feels valued, listened to, and supported, and I'm committed to creating environments where they can grow in confidence and independence.
With strong communication skills, a deep passion for early childhood development, and a wealth of hands-on experience, I am excited to continue making a difference in children's lives as a nursery assistant.
