• Processing and testing patient bloods in a range of immunology tests including Immunofluorescence assays- ANA, ANCA, LIVA, chemiluminescence and ELISA. I work in a small team in a laboratory with a high workload with a combination of automated analysers and manual techniques used.
• Due to the nature of the department and equipment used, I have been able to develop strong problem solving skills in order to ensure efficiency throughout the department persists even in the event of analyser disruptions and downtime

• Red Cell Immunohaematology Laboratory
• Performing manual serology-antibody investigations- for patients referred from Welsh hospitals, as well as quantifying Anti-D levels in pregnant people.
• Solo working during night and weekend on-call shifts within hospital services. This pushed me to develop my decision making and critical thinking skills

• 9 months spent within QA, ensuring manufactured blood and platelet units are in line with guidelines through leukocyte depletion testing and FBC type testing. As well as environmental monitoring I ensure compliance with GMP. 2 Months on call training for distributing blood and blood products to hospitals.
