  • This 10-week program operated by the University partnered myself with a secondary school in the West Midlands. Every Wednesday morning, I mentored two year 10 students educating them on revision skills, post 16 options, work experience etc., providing them with support and guidance on academics and future aspirations. Working in alliance with the school coordinator was essential to ensure the sessions remained successful for the learners as well as communicating soundly with relevant safeguarding professionals to ensure I knew set protocols within the specific school (Bristnall Hall Academy).

  • Efficient communication with a range of charities and local community actors when conducting a professional report for West Midlands Police
  • Interviewing- completion of 18 1-hour semi- structured interviews with recent students regarding student experiences during COVID- 19 for my undergraduate dissertation

  • Inputting/ analyzing data on Excel- recording the number of hours mentors have claimed on Worklink; ensuring this correlates with the duration/ number of learners mentored

Hobbies and Interests

Completing the local Parkrun on a Saturday morning with friends and family is an integral part of my weekend. In July 2024 I completed the 5K ‘pretty muddy' race for cancer research, raising over £500 as a group for a charity which has close connections with my family.

  • Nuffield Hospital- August 2019- Shadowing a range of departments including outpatients, physiotherapy, radiography- assisting specialist with basic patient care/ comforting and reassuring patients regarding procedures.
  • Girl Guides- Brownies, January to July 2019- Supervising brownies on craft activities, reading, performing, sporting activities.
