In 2016, I excavated at Moncreiffe Hill in Perthshire, at the site Carnac, Moredun I was placed in a small excavation trench and instructed to excavate with other volunteers what was thought to be the remains of round houses. I managed to find a quartz flint stone. I received a Heritage Hero Explorer Award from Archaeology Scotland and Tay Landscape Partnership.
During 2019, I was an excavating student at the Cairns on South Ronalysay in Orkney, where I could use a floatation machine and organise and categorise items found. I also worked on improving my excavation techniques and categorising work appropriate for a first-year student. In late 2020, I received a Certificate of Higher Education in Archaeology.
I have a hard working ethic, and will always motivate and coordinate well with others. I am adaptable to situations and have a steady hand which has been improved on as I often hand sew clothing for my own enjoyment.
