As a registered nurse I am responsible for ensuring that residents have required care and support plans and risk assessments in place so as all staff are aware of each residents needs.
Medication management, as part of my duties I am responsible for the safe ordering, storing, administration and recording of residents prescribed medication and associated documentation.
Reporting and recording any incidents and accidents as per the orgainsations polices and procedures and ensuring effective communication with all regulatory bodies and family members.

As a registered Home Manager I was responsible for the management of two care settings. A nursing unit and a residential unit. My duties included:
Managing budgets and budgetary requirements for both settings.
Carrying out staff interviews, inductions, training, supervisions and appraisals, disciplinary, and investigations including poor staff conduct, safeguarding and serious incidents.
Overseeing the auditing systems and carrying out root analysis for the purposes of identifying trends and patterns of low quality care and developing action plans to address and improve working practices.
Overseeing the safe maintenance of all environments including clinical, industrial and communal areas where safe at all times.
Facilitating all mandatory training for all roles including nurses, senior care assistants, care assistance, catering staff, domestic staff, administration staff and maintenance staff.
Overseeing the working systems and processes to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, regulatory bodies and organisational policies and procedures.
