• I provide a secure and calm environment for the children attending the nursery.
• I liaise with parents on a daily basis both via our online contact platform and face to face.
• I enforce company policies for a safe and productive work environment.
• I oversee our staff team in the managers absence and ensure they are supported well and fulfilling their roles.
• I facilitate conflict resolution amongst employees, promoting a harmonious work environment.
• I carry out day-to-day duties accurately and efficiently.
• I Support the team by demonstrating respect and willingness to help.
• I display energy and enthusiasm in fast-paced environment.
• I plan for my key children, following the EYFS Framework and deliver the content to parents online.
• I complete transition reports for children when they move in to the next room and when they leave our care.
• I am involved with Ofsted inspections with the Manager and i have also completed an Ofsted inspection in the managers absence.
• I liaise with other professionals, such as SLT`S, HV`s, local school`s, childminder`s, MASH team.
• I am also the Safe guarding lead for the nursery.
• I have the responsibility of opening the nursey in the morning and locking up in the evening.
• I hold staff supervisions.
• I attend TAF meetings if required.
• I attend various training courses throughout the year when required.
• I use critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.
• I ensure the ratio`s are adhered to in staff absences and organize agency cover if required.

From leaving college i started work at High Field House, i worked there for 8 years before the nursery closed due to being sold for development of houses on the land. During the 8 years i held the roles of nursery nurse and then deputy manager for the last 2 years, caring for children aged 0-5 years and overseeing staff and the smooth running of the nursery.
