Compile reports, collect evidence and where necessary, issue Prohibitions, fixed penalty notices, test certificates and other legislative documentation.

Attending and Examination of vehicles involved in collisions or other accidents and prepare reports as evidence for Police or HSE.

Conduct maintenance investigations into operator maintenance standards to ensure compliance with relevant legislation of Operator Licensing.

Prepare reports and case papers and present evidence at Public Inquiries.

Attendance to 77 Traffic Commissioners Public Inquiries.

Develop and maintain relationships with operators, trade associations, Police, other enforcement agencies and legal representatives.

Answer technical queries from operators, offering advice and guidance when required.

Answer Operator Licensing enquiries on behalf of the DVSA.

Conduct New Operators Seminars throughout South Wales.

Supervise and monitor the MOT scheme, investigate complaints and prepare reports and recommendations on disciplinary matters.

Conduct enforcement measures within the MOT scheme to ensure relevant legislation is met.

Keep up to date with procedural, technical and IT developments, relevant legislation and DVSA policy.

Attending magistrates court when requested as primary witness.

Attending Coroners inquests when requested as an expert witness.

Conduct inspections on all types of vehicles at DVSA or Authorised Testing Facilities (ATF) to ensure legislative compliance for the purpose of annual test.

Accredited stopping officer on behalf of the DVSA.

Continuously working from home office due to office location.

Assist with development projects (PCE, MOT Site review, Search).

Mentoring of new Vehicle Examiners.

Advising Vehicle examiners of warrant powers and legislative requirements.
