I have had a long career in customer service, having spent more than 16 years working in retail and customer support. Eleven of those years have been spent in management roles, where I have been in charge of teams of varying sizes, helping to set and beat company targets. My strengths in customer service come from a passion for helping people and being able to communicate in a friendly and personable manner. I enjoy being able to provide a high standard of service that results in satisfied customers.
I believe that social media is crucial for modern businesses and really enjoy using it to help them evolve and grow. I have managed social media accounts for a number of businesses and have been instrumental in increasing followers and social media presence for companies where this has been part of my responsibilities.
My main responsibility was customer service. I answered phone calls and emails using Microsoft Outlook, making sure customers received refunds or exchanges as soon as possible.
I updated stock numbers on our Shopify website and Ebay account using Excel, as well as creating product listings for new ink cartridges and other print related equipment.
I coordinated with other departments within the business to make sure customers had the best service delivery, and made sure customers were as informed as possible, so they could buy with confidence.
I launched Ed's Gaming Emporium in 2018 to follow my passion for gaming. The website, which uses the Shopify platform, sells a range of tabletop gaming and trading card products including boardgames, role playing games, dice and miniatures. I am solely responsible for keeping the website up to date, liaising with suppliers, managing stock, processing and packing customer orders, social media management and marketing the business. Ed’s Gaming Emporium has also exhibited at trade shows and conventions around the country including UK Games Expo, Tabletop Gaming Live and Dragonmeet.
