Edmund Coxon

Edinburgh

Summary

With over 20 years experience in Policing across 7 divisions, I've served with commitment and dedication in many and varied areas of the industry including emergency response and specialist teams as well as leading national change through case and crime management.

The application of diligence and professionalism underpins all my roles allowing me to develop a broad knowledge and understanding of risk management and mitigation whilst supervising my teams across the City of Edinburgh, Corporate Services, rural areas in the north of Scotland and within divisional management posts.

In 2023, I led my department through the single largest administrative change in service delivery, performance and crime management. Applying forensic scrutiny using honed analytical skills, I brought accuracy and integrity to the interpretation of data, audit compliance and governance thus maximising the benefits of PowerBi diagnostic tools. This has allowed me to bring tangible benefits to senior management teams and executive colleagues, partners and other key stakeholders.

My ability to improve performance by providing data-rich accurate information has identified key areas where measurable savings can be made thus supporting business resilience and streamlining efficient methods for optimum effect.

I am equally comfortable chairing meetings or adopting listening or consultation roles which affords my colleagues and seniors flexibility in working alongside me, confident in their knowledge I am a trusted colleague, team player and line-manager.

My successes lie in the relationships I forge and by setting an energised programme of healthy dialogue in everything I do, my peers, seniors, design teams and partners rely on my broad experience, operational, specialist, investigative and administrative credentials and qualifications making me a preferred and natural candidate of choice.
