In my job I am required to be able to work well under pressure weather that is someone in trouble or an injury. This may include CPR or spinal injury which are very important so I need to stay calm at all times. I am also good with working in teams with I have to do art of work and we have to be able to communicate properly. We have to provide first aid for minor injuries, ensuring quick recovery. I am very flexible when it comes to work, if they need me and I am available I will come in and help out and way I can. I have to do monthly training to ensure I am up to standards and know what I am doing in every situation. If I am one of the first people on shift I will make sure llama of the equipment is ready to be used and the pools are same and check all the alarms. I have to make sure I am consistent and always watching the pool and keeping count of who is in there. Also make sure the pool rules are always being followed and this will help me reduce risk of an accident on pool and everyone is safe. I have to make sure the center is up to cleaning standards and that the facilities are safe. Finally, I have to handle challenging behavior in the pool and make sure the situation does not escalate.
I have been at Howe Bridge now for 5 years, I really enjoy helping children be better at swimming and making the club a better place. I have been volunteering as I feel this helps me with my skills like communication and teamwork, this also helps me with my skills at work and I can develop them more. I like to develop their skills as this will make them feel better and know that they can do it and this also helps me to know what I need to work on and what I need to do better. I have improved a lot of swimmers skills with technical advice on stroke techniques. If I have any problems I know I won't leave it and I will ask for help or what I need to work on. I have been around more experienced coaches than me and this helps me to build my confidence and make me better for my next session. In the end of 2025 I was awarded club captain for my effort I give to the club.
