Communication - Over my experience within my currant apprenticeship, I have developed great communication skills with other members of staff and patients This is needed within my currant job, as we work as a team and often participate in large projects
Feedback - Being able to take feedback is a very good skills, as it allows you to improve as an individual Without being able to take feedback the correct way, I believe you will not be able to improve your skills within your profession Across my time at my currant apprenticeship, I have been exposed to lots of feedback, as a part of learning This has helped me develop the skills I have today
Basic use of hand tools - When working within my currant profession, we use a range of hand tools to complete repairs This has allowed me to develop good hand to eye co-ordination and be able to work within tight, uncomfortable spaces
Academic writing - As I understand that this is a level 5 qualification and will need some course work completed, I have completed over 15 SA's containing 5,000 word within my time at my current apprenticeship I manage my work load by handing in SA's on time to avoid a back log
Quality of work - When working with patients, it is important that we ensure all equipment is up to standard and borderline perfect By doing this, I now require all work I have completed to be perfect or I would be unhappy and not comfortable putting it back into clinical use This has structured me as a person, not to neglect work that is hard and to keep going till it is of good standard
Electronic knowledge - During my time at my apprenticeship, I have spent over a year working with high powered electrical machines One of the high powered electrical machines we work with are KV generators, this supply's high amounts of electricity to create X-Ray beams This has taught me how to be safe and operate around high voltage equipment and the dangers that come alongside it I have also completed SA's regarding general knowledge of Electrical safety and operations
Experience when working with different teams - When working in my currant profession, we involve different departments and teams with projects we may complete This has allowed me to develop my team working skills and how to work alongside other professions As I understand this is a key aspect of BMS, I believe my previous experience will help a lot with my future work
Me - I am a friendly, outgoing, keen and positive person I like to ensure I remain a positive attitude to learning and take pride in my work I value being honest around the workplace and owning up if I made a mistake I don't see mistakes as a bad thing but rather a learning curve I enjoy hands on work and to remain as busy and proactive as I can In my spare time I go to the gym and train martial arts
