Work History

MUSIC AND SCORE EDITOR

Self Employed
01.2015 - Current
  • Creating temp scores from source music as well as editing and compiling stems to compose new music pieces in sync, and in keeping, with the picture’s themes, including completing any conforms to new picture edits and delivering final masters
  • As a score editor, my role involves compiling, editing and tuning multi-mic orchestral recordings in to a master take based on take notes from the projects producer and director, and delivering the consolidated files, in sync with the picture, in a format ready to mix.

PRODUCER, ENGINEER

Self Employed
01.2011 - Current
  • I have built and maintained an independent career as a self-employed audio professional, nurturing strong working relationships with record labels, post-production houses, producers and studios in the UK and Europe
  • Adept at recording full bands, including live tracking, overdubbing, editing, timing and tuning instruments and vocals, I am well versed in seeing a project through from the writing stages, pre-production and tracking, to delivering a final master recording.

IN-HOUSE ENGINEER

SARM West Studios / Horn Productions
Notting Hill
01.2007 - 01.2011
  • SARM West Studios provided me with a well-rounded knowledge of how recording studios and sessions are run; from how to conduct myself around clients, to how to efficiently set-up equipment for sessions with different requirements, depending on the client
  • I quickly progressed to in-house engineer, working with most of the external clients for the studio, becoming proficient on the different SSL consoles, both for mixing and recording
  • This led to me being one of the go-to engineers for analogue mixing sessions, utilising the SSL consoles and outboard equipment, as well as being called upon to record full bands, small orchestral sections, and solo artists, working closely with producers, artists, management and record label representatives to provide finished master recordings.
