Notable Projects

  • Knightsbridge Monitoring (during the CrossRail tunnel drive): Using a combination of inhouse legacy software and APIs provided by the instrument manufacturer, developed a server style arrangement which could remotely control instrumentation while recording and collating recorded data, providing 24 hour real time alerts in the event of movement deemed out of tolerance by the main contractor.
  • Ground Zero: Built on technology and experience gained from the Knightsbridge contract, we added TCP/IP WinSocket support allowing control from much greater ranges. This project controlled over fifty instruments and was used throughout the demolition and re-construction of all works carried out at ground zero in New York City.
  • Tunnel boring machine control: Using an implementation of a Bursa/Wolf three dimensional conformal transformation algorithm, we created software for controlling TBM to ensure that the machine path was accurate. Whilst this was developed primarily for the Rohtang Pass, it is extensively used throughout Asia.
  • Autodesk developer network: Due to major design changes instigated by Highways England, we were employed to resolve major unforeseen issues in compatibility between the software used by the designers and legacy instrumentation used on site.
  • Point Cloud data processing: Developed a highly optimized Octree implementation allowing users with only moderate specification machines to extract and edit huge datasets.
