My role is to manage the relationships between LJMU and our private accommodation partners. I was instrumental in setting up the current partnership model in 2004/05 and I have overseen the development of the model to the current position. LJMU makes an absolute guarantee of accommodation to all new students despite no longer owning a single bedspace.

Liverpool Student Homes was founded in 1993 and is the official accreditation scheme for student housing within Liverpool. LSH is a partnership between the three universities and their respective Student Unions plus Liverpool City Council. As one of the two joint chairs, I also chair one of the two main committees on an annual basis, rotating these positions with a senior colleague from the University of Liverpool.
