- Formal table settings;
- Taking orders & recommending dishes;
- Food & drink runner within main venue;
- Greet & serve at ‘over-the-counter’ for patrons at casual deck area;
- Opening & closing clean-up, re-stock & place setting duties;
- Assisting with various tasks during function/event;
- Helping the bar with basic bartending skills (pouring pints, making mixed drinks and basic cocktails);
- POS system;
- Taking note of customer special requests/allergies and communicating with the kitchen.
- Customer service for telephone enquiries & front-office meet n’ greet/switchboard;
- General administrative support to fellow team members & senior staff, as requested;
- Greet & serve ‘over-the-counter’ patrons;
- Processing pre-orders;
- Action & monitor minor complaints & requests;
- Catering duties - processing orders (i.e. from local hospital, university, schools & community groups);
- Report to the Manager on customer dissatisfaction/satisfaction feedback.
- Adherence to food & hygiene standards;
- Preparing & packing takeaway or dine-in orders;
- Re-stocking display cabinets, stock rotation;
- Operation of minor equipment (such as commercial kitchen appliances);
- Kitchenhand duties (decorating cakes/pastries, packing orders, cleaning workspaces).
- Prepare for health inspections, accessing workplace hazards, following industry protocols & practices;
- Maintain an orderly & efficient shop front & ensure serving counters, dining area & cabinets are tidy, presentable & safe (cleared of spills & leftovers);
- Thorough wash & wipe down (disinfect) public areas;
- Wash of kitchen appliances, barista counter & equipment;
- Appropriate disposal of stock & waste.
- General refuse disposal to skip bin;
- Wipe down & disinfection of all surfaces;
- Kitchen clean (i.e. dishes, fridge clean out);
- Toilet clean;
- Vacuum of carpeted & tiled areas, including mopping;
- Spot cleaning & dusting when required;
- Notify owners of any hazards or damage found.
- Cashier & receipt payments (cash & EFTPOS);
- Undertake daily reconciliations;
- Supervise Armaguard safe collections;
- Shelving - stock, rotate & face products (able to lift & move stock in the correct & safe manner);
- Build displays & help market promotions (i.e. docket deals);
- Hygiene checks - conduct shelf, refrigeration & counter cleans;
- Monitor inventory levels & co-ordinate deliveries, including the payment of invoices;
- Operation of minor equipment (such pallet jacks);
- Ensure a clear & safe store floor is accessible & safe for staff & public (i.e. end of isle displays are stable, suitable stacking stock heights are met);
- Armed hold-up training & responsible service for customers who are ‘drunk & disorderly’ or abusive.
