I am a second-year Chemical Engineering student at Queen’s University Belfast. As a hardworking and diligent individual, I pride myself on my friendly, approachable, and confident personality, which allows me to work effectively with individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds. I excel at adapting to new environments and possess strong time management, communication, and organisational skills. I possess excellent leadership skills from captaining my school netball team from the age of 12 to 18 and leading group projects both at school and university level. Additionally, I bring excellent financial and analytical skills to the table, which I have developed through academic and practical experiences in both previous internships and throughout my academic career. From the age of 16, I have been working part time alongside my studies and sport which has honed my ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively.
My internship at the DuPont Kevlar Plant in Maydown during the summer of 2024 provided me with valuable insights into the importance of safety, production, and quality in a large-scale chemical industry. Beyond my academic and engineering endeavors, I am a qualified Level 2 STA Swim Instructor with two years of experience teaching swimming, including to individuals with Down syndrome. I am also trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. My versatile skills, proactive attitude, and dedication make me a valuable asset to any team or organisation.
