I am an aspiring healthcare professional focused on providing compassionate and patient-centred care. I have excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills which are well suited to patient care. I am committed to making a positive impact on patient wellbeing and healthcare outcomes.
I have experience of working with both adults and children with complex needs. I currently support a friend with her 5 year old daughter who has an autism diagnosis and faces complex daily challenges. I assist with childcare and also attend meetings to advocate for the young person. I am committed to my contribution to enrich her life experiences and ensure her comfort in a range of environments.
On placement for my studies in Nursing I have been consistently praised for my ability to develop trusting relationships with patients which help them to feel at ease in challenging situations. I have also received recognition for my strong work ethic and my eagerness to progress in the development of my practical skills on the wards.
Although not strictly a position of employment, I currently offer a number of hours support to a friend who has a 5 year old daughter with complex additional needs, including non verbal autism and incontinence. I regularly take the young person on activities which provide enrichment and the opportunity to explore new environments. I also attend meetings at school, with a disability social worker and Sendias as an advocate for the child and her parent.
