During my internship and at work , I was actively involved in teaching medical students , my work colleagues (nurses , physician assistants ) and found it very useful for my personal development. Teaching helped me to improve my interpersonal and communications skills. I established a system to understand the individual and unique learning needs of each one on placement at my ward and tailored my teaching sessions accordingly. I

developed some expertise in teaching clinical examinations and established techniques to practically demonstrate these. I learnt that developing rapport was key in establishing an effective learning environment .

I have independently performed various procedures during internship(Fy1 ) and Junior Resident (Fy2 ) like Venepuncture , Arterial Blood sampling,IV cannulation ,Urinary catheterisation,Suturing of superficial wounds,Nasogastric tube insertion, Dressing of wounds,Ascites tapping .I am proficient at the skills mentioned above . I've worked in a high volume tertiary care center and have had the opportunity to perform these procedures several times , under a time constraint . I have experience in medicine on calls where I can have managed patients in Resus setting .I can perform these procedures fast with clinical precision with some or no supervision . I really like the adrenaline involved in dealing with emergency and stabilising patients .I would like to excel in all the procedures that I am aware of and would like to learn new skills with the help of my seniors. I wish to get my hands on experience on different procedures at my level of training.
