1. Provided routine and emergency medical cover during hours of duty and acted on behalf of a consultant in their absence when requested.

2. Collaborated with other SHOs (RMO) to ensure continuous service delivery within hospital premises during specified hours.

In the event of an SHO not attending for duty at the hospital, the current SHO must remain until a replacement is found ensuring continuous cover.

14. Performed various medical procedures as directed by a consultant or nurse in charge.

9. To dispense medications for patients as there is no on site pharmacy.

To be a named first aider and provide urgent medical attention to patients, staff and visitors in the event of an accident or sudden illness in liaison with the senior nurse on duty and ensure completion of an Adverse Incident Form.

11. Certified deaths and completed death certificates, reporting unexpected deaths to the coroner and preparing necessary documentation.
