

General practitioner with a strong interest in mental health and a keen passion for teaching. Adept at managing teams of staff, both clinical and non-clinical. I am passionate about learning and always striving to advance knowledge. I have a keen awareness of the need to hone and develop teaching to ensure it is appropriate to the learners' needs in addition to the importance of inclusivity to allow all learners to meet their potential. I consider myself to be encouraging, diplomatic and supportive and my demeanour is approachable, calm and friendly.
Having had extensive interest in education in undergraduate and postgraduate training, I have relished the role of education lead for Chanctonbury PCN. I have undertaken clinical and educational supervisory roles for numerous trainees, including medical and ARRS roles. It is undoubtedly my favourite part of part of the job.
As a qualified GP and trainer, I feel that my particular areas of expertise include communication skills and consulting with patients with mental health problems. I am the mental health lead at my practice and also the lead for education. I also have a great deal of experience in women and children’s health, with a focus on menopause management and common paediatric presentations.

Spanning CT1-ST3 years of anaesthetic training. I decided to leave the training programme due to considerations regarding family life and unsociable hours.
Placements included general surgery, gastroenterology, elderly care medicine, emergency medicine, gynaecology and general practice.
