I actively contributed to a research study investigating risk factors and surgical choices affecting outcomes in adult elective umbilical hernia repair. My responsibilities included:

• Hypothesis generation and literature review
• Understanding dataset design, methodology, and data analysis using various tools
• Interpreting data and drawing meaningful conclusions
• Writing and editing abstracts and manuscripts for submission to conferences and journals
• Creating oral and poster presentations to disseminate research findings

3. Participated in surgeries alongside medical students, providing exposure to different surgical techniques and approaches.

4. Attended wound clinic with senior clinical fellows, gaining knowledge about various wound dressing techniques. Performed wound dressings under supervision of seniors, learning proper procedures.

5. Participated in outpatient clinic days, observing how patients were prepared for preoperative procedures.

2. Chemotherapy Administration

- Under direct supervision of consultants, administered chemotherapy treatments

according to the prescribed protocols.

patient status to the consultants for approval.

3. Bedside Procedures and Lab Investigation

- Performed bedside procedures, including I.V. cannulations, ABG, catheterizations,and port flushes.

• Participated in the Non-Communicable Disease clinic for geriatric patients, identifying, record-keeping, and initiating treatment for conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, and Thyroid disorders.

5. Basic Trauma Care

• Provided care for basic trauma patients, including wound cleaning, suturing, dressing, and stitch removal.

1. During my 10-month internship at Bhatia Hospital, I rotated through various departments, including Covid ICU, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medicine, and Surgery. Assisting in surgeries, providing pre- and post-operative care, and participating in emergency management honed my clinical skills. Additionally, I rotated through Psychiatry, Anesthesia, Paediatrics, Respiratory Medicine, and A&E, and actively participated in the Covid Vaccination Drive. This comprehensive internship reinforced patient-centric care and advanced healthcare technologies.

2. Covid ICU

• Provided medical attention to patients in the Covid intensive care unit. Monitored and identified sudden or subtle changes in patients' medical conditions.
• Delivered regular updates to consultants, patients, and family members. Responded to medical emergencies and alerted appropriate teams as required. Acquired technical skills.

3. Medicine Department:

• Clerked patients admitted to the ward. Actively participated in Acute Care Team.
• Assisting in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute medical conditions such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular emergencies, renal and liver diseases, and endocrine emergencies.
• Interpreting and analyzing diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging studies (X-rays, CT scans, etc.), electrocardiograms (ECGs), and other relevant investigations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning.

4. Surgery Department

• Assisted in major surgeries and pre-operative consultations.
• Provided post-operative care and performed minor surgeries under supervision
• Managed medical and surgical emergencies as part of a larger team. Assisted in stabilizing fractures and dislocations, as well as debriding and suturing wounds.
