Trust Grade FY2, Generalism Program*. General Medicine & Stroke Medicine

• Attending ward rounds on Stroke Unit and occasionally on Medical Assessment Unit
• Clerking shifts - clerking patients admitted to medicine
• Acute medicine on call shifts covering medical wards and supporting F1 colleagues on call
• Once or twice weekly day shifts on Acute Hospital at Home-Frailty service - this service aims are reducing length of hospital stay and admission avoidance for frail patients.
• Attending generalism monthly teachings sessions

*Generalism program: run as a pilot in the hospital. Program involves educating fellows on generalist skills in patient care

• Observing daily workings of doctors & other health care professionals
• Orienting to the NHS healthcare system and it's intricacies
• Familiarizing with the IT system utilized by the NHS
• Learning the referral pathway and system of NHS
• Learning concepts of Rheumatology
• Attending weekly intra-departmental MDT meetings and pharmaceutical rep meetings

• Patient care under supervision
• Performing procedures under supervision
• Participating daily patient rounds
• Formulating management plans
• Handovers to oncall team
