I am a experienced senior Emergency Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in Emergency Care, currently working within a busy Urgent Treatment Centre. I am use to taking the lead to co-ordinate the unit during a shift, supporting my colleagues, managing patient flow and safety. I can competently assess, diagnose and where appropriate treat patients from ages 0 upwards with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries, referring or communicating with a wider multidisciplinary team when necessary or safely discharge, This is concluded with comprehensive, succinct and accurate record keeping.
Since commencing my nurse training over 30 years ago I have completed training in back care facilitation, safety and work management and various courses around emergency care, trauma and resuscitation. I have proven expertise in adult and paediatric life support including advanced life support, and in independent nurse prescribing. I have advanced skills in x-ray interpretation, wound care, phlebotomy, cannulation, triage, and occupational safety. I am committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety whilst continuing to undertake further training and experiential learning to enhance patient outcomes, within a dynamic healthcare environment.
