Technology Education and Computing (Mechanical Technology) graduate and current MSc Mechanical Engineering student with a genuine curiosity about how technology can be used to understand and solve real-world problems. My background brings together mechanical technology, computing and technical education, giving me experience in applying and communicating technical knowledge. I am naturally curious, creative and committed to continuous development, with a particular interest in creating practical solutions that are sustainable and beneficial to people, the economy and the environment. Trainer
2 Years- Plan and deliver competency-based training in mechanical engineering theory and practical skills in accordance with the approved TVET curriculum.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments and instructional materials to enhance learning outcomes.
- Conduct practical workshop training in areas such as fitting, machining, welding and fabrication, sheet-metal work, maintenance and engineering drawing.
- Demonstrate the safe and correct operation of mechanical tools, machines and workshop equipment.
- Supervise trainees during practical sessions, projects and workshop activities to ensure the achievement of required competencies.
- Develop, administer and assess theory and practical examinations, assignments and competency-based assessments.
- Monitor trainees' progress and provide constructive feedback to support learners and foster competency development.
- Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, assessment results, progress and competency achievement.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and safe workshop practices.
- Mentor trainees during industrial attachment, projects and industry-related learning activities to facilitate real-world application of skills.
- Promote innovation, problem-solving, teamwork, professionalism and employability skills among trainees.
