Donna McGreevey

Magherafelt,Derry

Summary

  • Driven Area Manager with experience ensuring ongoing improvement of client care
  • Assisted in the transition of a new rapid response run within my area, taking on new staff and clients in a very fast paced sector of domicillary care
  • I believe with my short period of time within my last role that I gained the respect of staff, maintaining their confidence and ensuring all their needs were met to the best of my ability
  • I am self driven, keen to learn and am always willing to take on a new challenge.
  • Unfortunately due to staffing levels and the nature of the job means a lot of staff are not committed or don't realise what the role entailed - ie working holidays, weekends, long shifts which would be late into the day etc and I felt that I was not able to keep the same pace up on a long term basis. I was working almost everyday managing, maintaining safety for clients, picking up new packages, meetings and was put in a position almost everyday of having to go on runs due to staff shortages and sickness levels. I felt that I was constantly badgering staff to cover which meant they were getting burnout and was beginning to cause friction between the staff. I felt I was not able to continue to maintain the safety of staff and clients plus it was having a knock on effect on my personal life with the hours I had to work.
