Friendly and dependable Customer Service Coordinator with experience in the food manufacturing industry, known for building strong customer relationships and keeping orders running smoothly from production to delivery. A proactive team player who communicates clearly, solves problems quickly, and takes pride in providing excellent, reliable service.
General - My hobbies and passions are all to do with the arts. I ran a Rainbow Guide unit for many years where we did a weekly art/craft activity, often with a seasonal theme. We would hold events to sell the handmade products to raise funds for the unit. At home, I always take pride in making my own Christmas cards, gift tags and festive apple chutney for family & friends. I also enjoy cake making and have used this enjoyment in making birthday and cupcakes for my children over the years. And there's nothing I love more than an evening out to the theatre. Musical theatre shows in particular. Growing up all of my spare time was spent at dancing. I took part in many shows, competitions and have numerous medals and trophies. Now a days I get excited at seeing my daughter on the stage with a big smile on her face.
Supply Chain - Within my role of Customer Service Coordinator, I get to wear a lot of hats. I find that colleagues from many other departments e.g. Commercial think that Customer Services will have the answer! I always ensure if I don't know the answer to a query I search until I do. I work both in the office where I sit with the rest of supply chain, and from home on my own equally well. I always support and join in with things such as fund raising and team building activities and welcome the opportunity of mixing with members of staff from different teams and locations in the business.
Retail - Although my main responsibility was the food hall, I got thoroughly involved in assisting in other areas of the garden centre as required. Be it in the coffee shop, giftware department or helping out on the tills. I have done a number of online courses to keep my knowledge and skills up to date and attended a three day first aid at work course. In November last year I went to an event at Thornton Manor to promote Gordale, in particular their upcoming Christmas Extravaganza.
Teaching - I always took an active part in whole school life. I was a member of the PTA, attended meetings to plan and run fund raising events and fed back to other staff members following these meetings to encourage their support.
With my interest in performing arts, for many years run a popular after school drama club where we put on a spectacular annual performance.
As part of my role of science lead I assisted and ran fun science clubs at lunchtime to encourage a love for learning and curiosity into the world of science.
