-Supported children and young adults (0-19yrs) with terminal illness, life limiting conditions and disabilities across Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes.

-Direct contact with families, helping to coordinate care, offering emotional and practical support.

-Participated in various meetings such as symptom management and safeguarding with a multi-disciplinary approach.

-Served as an advocate for families, a link between professionals.

-Arranged and supported stays for patients requiring symptom management, crisis support, respite or end of life care.

-Supported relationships with patients through fun activities such as messy play, sensory play or older group activities.

-A team player, attended regular supervision and supported the on-call system for emergency support.

N.B- Please note that during my time at Keech Hospice Care I went on maternity leave twice (October 2019- August 2020. Then from June 2021- I never returned after this maternity leave due to childcare)

-Helped to run a Children's Centre supporting the local community in Ivinghoe and Pitstone.

-Delivered classes to support families such as baby massage and stay and play sessions.

-Alongside this, I looked after a caseload of families considered vulnerable or needing extra support.

-Worked closely with families to help them find coping strategies and solutions for improvement.

-Ensured I was approachable and non-judgemental, supporting families to communicate and reach out.

-Delivered classes to support families such as baby massage and stay and play sessions.

Different types of support delivered included mental health/ anxiety support, lack of bond with child, 1:1 support and group support, practical support including help with transport and food banks.

-Acting upon safeguarding concerns immediately following the guidelines and policies in place.

-Practical hands-on care with patients staying in overnight in the hospice building.-

-Supporting children and young adults with life limiting conditions. Assisting with their everyday routines including medication, hygiene, feeding, communication, play, as well as other medical care plans such as seizure management.

-Supporting patients both verbal and non verbal with fun activities to support their wellbeing.

-Worked as a team to support symptom management and end of life care in a respectful and compassionate manor.

-Followed policies and guidelines in place to safeguard patients and sought advice from our social work team when required.

-Timely and accurate record keeping, high levels of communication between the team.

-Ensuring communication with other professionals outside of Keech Hospice Care to promote multi-disciplinary approach to holistic care.

-Participated in shift work including night shifts.

-Worked as a level 3 Nursery Nurse at Butterflies Nursery, Redgrave Gardens, Luton.

-Worked in the baby room delivering hands on care such as feeding, changing and hygiene, sleep, play and ensuring the babies safety and wellbeing at all times.

-Also worked with children aged 3-5yrs. Supporting the children's learning and communication skills. Again, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, supporting them to express and manage their emotions and behaviors.

-Ensured high levels of open communication with parents/ carers.

-Planned activities, monitored progress, followed safeguarding and other policies in place. Ensured a safe environment and supported children from various backgrounds and cultures.

-Used the Early Years Found Stage curriculum to support children.
