Dominique Michele Long

Working along side a team of people who regularly attend the church we work with the youth ages 11-16. We include sports and board games and speak and share ideas with one another sharing the gospel. Roles vary from making toast in the kitchen to joining in with the games and quizzes.

We believe this helps by having repour with the youth strengthening faith and confidence through building relationships with one another.

I’ve recently started working as a barista, I volunteer once a week at Ground up at Urban Crofters a place in Roath Cardiff which concludes baby singing groups, art exhibitions, musicians play there sometimes and the place is an active church. I know how to make coffee because I was a barista before I love this role and would suit a Barista role because I used to be one some time ago.

I worked in Hyfen coffee shop in the Wales Millenium Centre for around 8 months doing an array of things within the building from bartending to serving at public events. This is something I'd like to do again.

I worked for Caudwell Children charity, Unisef and Wellchild whilst working for Golley slater. I moved from Caudwell children to unisef to Wellchild. I enjoyed working for Wellchild and explaining the celebrity connections they had having Prince Harry as the ambassador for the charity, I also had family connections with the charity having a disabled niece and a friend having help from the charity first hand.

I spoke with confidence and reassurance and compassion and I would love to do something like this again.

I worked as a face to face fundraiser upselling the charity Concern Universal which is now called United Purpose.

I loved this job and I have many fond memories on train journeys here and there everyday, we always had early starts and travelled all of Wales and near by areas like Swansea and then to Herefod where the charity was based.
