- This was a central role that required identifying problems and opportunities for the New Zealand economy.
- Lead on numerous Treasury reports for the Minister of Finance, highlighting issues across the economy and producing policy recommendations. This involved working with colleagues from teams across the department and external stakeholders.
- Wrote numerous briefing notes/speeches for the Minister of Finance/Senior colleagues, also drafted two speeches for the Prime Minister.
- Lead coordinator for Treasury for the OECD New Zealand Economic Survey 2024. I provided initial feedback on their recommendations before co-ordinating with teams across government to provide feedback on individual areas.
- Organiser and chair of the Small Advanced Economies Initiative – This is a platform for Finance departments across seven small, advanced economies to come together and have a Chatham House style discussion about pressing policy issues.
- Providing economic appraisal for spending review bids across Treasury.
- Lead on the economic analysis for the Briefing to the Incoming Minister of Finance. This was a huge project involving co-ordinating teams across the department informing the Minister of pressing policy issues and recommendations

- Leading on the Impact Assessments for the 25 Year Environment Plan Targets Programme. These were subject of frequent communication with the Secretary of State, who subsequently signed them off to be legally binding.
- Leading on the economic input into the Greening Government Commitments report. I provided analysis about how the government could become more sustainable and recommendations of how to further increase performance.
