I've had a passion for cooking for the vast majority of my life, from growing up in a household of talented home cooks, to deciding to pursue my passion into college and university, despite pushback from members of my family. From my time within the kitchen industry and college I have showed my hard work and dedication, such as having 100% attendance, as well as always being willing to learn and improve. Within my personal life I have found a strong enthusiasm for learning to play the guitar, which even though its still a learning process, it has strengthened my resilience and comfort of being able to fail and continue undeterred until I improve. I have also had a long and fulfilling position within a rugby club which has given me the ability to clearly and effectively communicate under high intensity situations, as well as developing strong bonds and trust with my team mates. I pride myself on my work ethic, skills within the kitchen and professional standards, however I am well aware that I still have a lot to learn and improve within the kitchen and I'm willing and exited to be taught, and will always enter with an open mind and readiness to learn. Thank you for your time in reading my CV and I hope you will consider me for a position with your team.
Experienced a two week placement at 670 grams for my NVQ level 2 in culinary arts. It introduced me to working within a fine dinning restaurant, helping prepare and serve the ten course tasting menu. It taught me how to work under pressure and still provide a well made and professionally presented dish to a higher standard than I had experienced before.
