Summary

I am a hard working Occupational Therapy student seeking further practical experience. I have a passion for helping others and enthusiasm for learning by doing. Throughout my time in health care and social work settings I have experienced and overcome challenges such as understaffed wards in which I contributed with dedicated work on my student placements, going the extra mile to provide the best care possible and has prepared me for the ever adapting nature of professional environments.

Offering strong interpersonal and communication skills, I have worked with a wide range of people from professional colleagues and various patients with both mental and physical health conditions. I am able to navigate stressful situations in the workplace effectively and have strong de-escalation skills as well as building rapport and trust through empathy, congruence and active listening.

Various experience in collaborative working in professional environments; working closely alongside colleagues to enhance satisfaction of service users and attaining the understanding of the importance of teamwork in striving towards goals and the improvement of services.

Confident in chaotic environments, with previous placement experience in both acute mental and physical health settings helping to develop the skills to be able to adapt to stressful and demanding environments.

A quick and dedicated learner; open to learning new skills demanded from various professional settings with a high quality.
