Oracle Fusion Functional Tester – Pearson, UK (Client) JANUARY 2018 – MARCH 2019 

Pearson implemented Oracle Fusion HCM as global HR Solution for 72 countries in the world. This covers Core HR, Absence, Benefits, Performance Management and payroll Interfaces. As a part of QA team, I was responsible for testing and documenting end to end Core HR and Absence processes for countries like UK, South Africa and some European countries.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analysed business requirements and prepared Functional Specification documents.
  • Found teat scenarios from FSD and converted them to test cases for UAT.
  • Executed Functional testing, Regression Testing and Integration testing for HCM modules.
  • Validated Enterprise Structure components including Legal Entities, Business Units, Departments, Jobs, Positions, and Location setups during Oracle HCM testing cycles.
  • Validated Employee data, assignments, benefits eligibility and payroll interfaces.
  • Validated all end to end approval processes.
  • Validated all absence accrual plans, proration rules and balance calculation.
  • Assisted users during User Acceptance testing and helped them understand the processes.
  • Logged and tracked defects in ALM, collaborated with developers and functional consultants for timely completion.
  • Engaged with client stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss test scenarios, and provide updates while coordinating with the internal testing team.

Oracle Functional Tester -John Lewis Partnership, UK (Client) JANUARY 2016 – JANUARY 2018 

The project focused on validating the employee Pension Opt‑In/Opt‑Out process within Oracle E‑Biz HRMS for John Lewis Partnership. The objective was to ensure that pension elections made by employees were accurately captured in HRMS, correctly interfaced through middleware, and reflected without errors in downstream payroll systems. The work involved multi‑system data validation, interface testing, and ensuring compliance with JLP’s pension rules.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analysed business requirements for the Pension Opt‑In/Opt‑Out process and identified scenarios accordingly.
  • Prepared detailed test scenarios and test scripts from FSDs.
  • Identified Test data and executed test cases for all pension related interfaces, ensuring accurate data flow from HRMS to payroll.
  • Performed System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate pension elections and their impact on payroll calculations.
  • Verified FTP files generated through middleware to ensure correct transformation and delivery of pension data.
  • Logged defects in JIRA, tracked progress, and prepared daily/weekly test status reports for stakeholders.
  • Participated in daily status calls, analysed defect trends, and coordinated with cross‑functional teams for resolution.
  • Created test data for various pension scenarios (opt‑in, opt‑out, re‑enrolment) and executed end to end validation.
  • Collaborated with client stakeholders and internal teams to clarify pension rules, discuss issues, and ensure smooth testing cycles.

Career Break |(April 2019 - 2026)

Took a planned career break and used this period to upskill in ISTQB, Cybersecurity fundamentals, SQL, and Oracle HCM testing concepts, strengthening my understanding of secure data handling, access control, and structured testing practices. I have involved myself in Volunteering in a Charity shop during my career break.
