My role Entails:

• Performing as a role of charge nurse when needed and coordinated and completed admissions and discharges to facility
• Undertake comprehensive resident assessment
• Develop a nursing care plan in consultation with the multidisciplinary team and evaluate the outcome
• Undertake holistic care including emotional, psychological and spiritual support
• Administer medications and evaluate the outcome
• Operate in a critical and complex environment
• Works as a resident advocate, supervise and mentor EN's and junior RN's
• Work in consultation with the multidisciplinary team for the better outcome of the resident
• Participate and contribute to occupational health and safety activities to ensure a safe work environment for residents family and colleagues

• Monitoring the residents' condition and assessing their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observing and interpreting the resident's symptoms and communicating them to their doctors
• Collaborating with doctors and nurses to devise individualized care plans.

As an Emergency department nurse, My responsibilities included:

• Provided emergency care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses
• Triage cases in order of urgency and need
• Work with ER staff to stabilize incoming patients
• Give stitches and sutures
• Start intravenous lines (IVs)
• Administer medication-as instructed by physicians
• Create and maintain patient records
• Transfer stable patients to other wings.

My responsibilities included:

• Assess patients' pain, nausea, and well being in post anesthesia recovery and develop care plans
• Keep bandages, dressings, and surgical wounds clean, dry, and safe
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall well-being during recovery
• Administer appropriate medications to manage pain and side effects of anesthesia.

• Conducting preliminary patient examinations to ascertain the patient's condition
• Referring patients to other departments such as osteopathy, radiology, and cardiology
• Receiving patients from Paramedics and taking over their care
• Sharing information and updates with family members
• Analyzing test results
• Taking detailed and accurate notes
• Applying dressings and administering pain relief, antibiotics, and other medications as required
• Completing all necessary discharge paperwork

My Duties included

• Facilitated patient mobility by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and positioning, reducing the risk of injury or complications.
• Assisted nurses in administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient progress for better treatment outcomes.
• Accompanied patients to appointments and medical procedures, offering emotional support and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
• Demonstrated professionalism through punctuality, attention to detail, and consistent provision of quality patient care.

• My role as a Medical and Surgical nurse comprised of:
• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
• Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
• Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
