Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children is the largest free of charge Pediatric Hospital in Sri Lanka. It serves as the national referral center for pediatric care for Sri Lanka.

This hospital is the first Maternity Hospital in Sri Lanka and second oldest maternity hospital in Asia. It provides more than 14000 maternity cases annually, most of which are high risk in nature.
