ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Leadership, Strategy & Asset Management Projects & Capital Delivery Governance & Technical Authority
- Lead and manage I&C department activities including maintenance, reliability, projects, and commissioning for DCS/PLC systems and 500+ field instruments.
- Develop and implement long-term instrumentation reliability strategies, improving plant availability by 3–5% through structured RCA and optimized preventive maintenance programs.
- Establish and standardize SOPs, PM frameworks, and engineering best practices aligned with OEM, regulatory, and corporate standards.
- Oversee Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring technical risk assessments, documentation control, and full regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with ATEX, SIL, QAL3 (CEMS), and HSE requirements; maintain audit readiness and governance standards.
- Plan and manage annual shutdowns/outages, budgets, manpower planning, and contractor performance to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams ( technicians, contractors), driving performance and technical competency growth.
- Manage end-to-end execution of I&C capital and improvement projects — from FEED/design review to procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
- Approve P&IDs, control philosophies, DCS architecture, I/O strategies, and interlock design to ensure system integrity and lifecycle sustainability.
- Lead FAT/SAT strategy, commissioning governance, and system acceptance processes.
- Coordinate with operations, mechanical, electrical, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless startup and operational readiness.
- Optimize commissioning and project execution processes, reducing punch points and rework by up to 25%.
- Act as Technical Authority for DCS/PLC platforms (Siemens PCS7, SPPA T3000, ABB 800xA, Emerson Ovation, Allen Bradley).
- Oversee control system lifecycle management, obsolescence planning, cybersecurity considerations, and upgrade strategies.
