Endoscopy

• Pre-assess patients before procedures
• Obtain venepuncture, cannulate and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures
• Maintain efficient, clear and timely communication
• Assist endoscopist and nurses in procedure rooms
• Assist endoscopist in obtaining biopsy samples
• Maintain accurate documentation, vital sign monitoring, and confidentiality
• Manage patients’ airways during procedures
• Prepare and set up procedure rooms
• Assist in recovering patients after procedures
• Work within scope of competency and report concerns to nurses and doctors
• Maintain stock levels and restock as required
• Maintain safe and clean environment to reduce risk of infections.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to enhance positive patient outcomes.
• Attend relevant trainings and professional development for safe practice

Pediatric Bank Staff

• Maintain accurate documentation and report concerns to nurses
• Maintain effective, factual and timely communications
• Undertake vital signs monitoring and accurate recordings
• Assist in scheduled oral bottle feeds, NGT feeds and PEG feeds
• Maintain accurate pump readings to reflect accurate input and output records
• Assist with personal care
• Engage patients and support with play

Radiology

• Abide by information governance protocols and maintain confidentiality
• Manage bookings and patient flow for patients arriving for ultrasound appointment
• Manage and organise inpatient ultrasound schedules
• Prepare patients for ultrasound, CT or X-ray guided procedures
• Obtain vital signs monitoring and report to nurses and radiographers
• Assist IR nurses in preparing sterile procedure trolleys, circulating in IR suite and in recovering patients post procedures
• Assist radiologist in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, fine needle aspirations, and biopsies
• Prepare patients for CT scans, ultrasounds and X-rays
• Cannulate patients who require contrast for CT scans

• Enhance the well-being of service users by providing emotional support and companionship.
• Promote patient independence through guided tasks and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of service users' daily activities and behaviour changes for healthcare assessments.
• Ensure service users' safety and provide companionship during outings to aid smooth integration into society.
• Promote mental stimulation through conversation, reading and games to enhance cognitive function.
• Assist with personal care activities such as washing and dressing.
