- Arranging clients holiday using my knowledge and experience to match them with their perfect trip. By offering a personalised holiday planning service I ensure that clients needs are met securing them flights, hotels, cruises, insurance, foreign exchange and all of their holiday extras. I can tailor make them packages or individual trips and research their dream ideas, providing advice and recommendations to accommodate their ideal plans.
- Offering alternative choices, upgrades and extra enhancements I give my clients the chance to elevate their holiday experience whilst also maximising sales and profits and in turn contributing to my sales and profits targets which I always strive to exceed.
- To ensure a smooth and seamless holiday experience I ensure I really listen to my clients needs and requests, arranging special assistance where required and noting any special requests they may have or occasions they may be celebrating.
- Creating a personalised end to end customer experience I can really get to know my clients and build on a loyal base of repeat custom. This helps me gain positive feedback through Trustpilot reviews, our store Facebook followers and text messages which are sent to clients following their experience in store.
- I assist my manager and assistant manager in daily store operations and take on a leadership role in their absence to promote a consistent positive work environment. Implementing and sharing my ideas, I have enhanced productivity, supported compliance and increased profit for the store.
- Using various computer systems I confidently process client bookings and administrative tasks and regularly liaise with Tour Operators and suppliers on the telephone. I am proficient in the use of Teams, using it to effectively communicate with colleagues all and using the tools it provides to share information and keep myself updated.
- Keeping clients informed of any changes or updates is of importance to me and I ensure I keep myself up to date on current travel related matters. I strive to answer every question clients may have and empathetically assist with any concerns or complaints that may arise.

Experience & Achievements
- From joining the Travel Industry in 1998 I had 10 successful years of experience as a Travel Consultant and Assistant Manager working with well known companies such as Going Places, Lunn Poly/Thomson, First Choice, Travel2 and Beaver Travel.
- After an 8 year career break to be a stay at home mum I returned to the industry in 2016 working as a Travel Consultant for TUI in Elgin until the closure of the store at the end of 2024 followed by 5 months working for Murray Travel in Elgin.
- As a school leaver I successfully completed Going Places' Modern Apprenticeship scheme and then went on to achieve an Assistant Manager role after two years in the industry.
- Whilst working for First Choice I was appointed as Foreign Exchange regional co-ordinator for Scotland to assist the regional Manager with collation of figures and cascading key information to the other stores.
- I contributed to the success of my TUI store winning Shop Of The Year for the Scotland region in 2018.
- From being appointed 'Charity Champion' for my store I led the team to raise the most amount of money in our region which was donated to the TUI Care Foundation.
- I have gained knowledge and experience from educational trips to Menorca, Madeira, Florida and most recently a Marella Cruise to the Canary Islands.
- 2008 - 2016 was when I took a career break to be a stay at home mum to my 3 daughters. During this time I worked as a Party Planner for Phoenix Trading and Partylite hosting parties in peoples homes and attending craft fayres to promote and sell the products. I was also deputy chair of the school parent council and arranged various fundraising events to help buy equipment and provide the pupils with more opportunities and experiences.
