I started as a junior and advanced to senior TACP by taking university courses at level 7 and gaining the appropriate experience in a supportive environment.

I settled on working in the CRH UTC because I found that it provided the right mix of seeing and streaming, which both build skills and resilience.

Working alongside the ED is challenging, and I had to be prepared to flex and adjust daily. This could be very challenging, but I have always enjoyed hard work and the chance to grow myself and others.

When I left, it was because I thought that I would enjoy being closer to home and that the role would be similar to what I was already providing. I enjoy my position and the staff have been really welcoming and supportive, but I find myself missing the ethos of DHU.
