Support Speech and language therapist to:

• Plan and implement individual evidence based therapy programmes.
• Individualise therapy programmes to suit the needs of the client, ensuring the clients cultural and preferred languages are taken into consideration.
• Deliver individual sessions as well as group sessions, ensuring close observations are carried out during the sessions to support with assessments and treatments for the client .
• To undertake home visits ensuring the lone working policy is adhered to.
• Refer clients to the appropriate services/agencies if requested by Speech and Language Therapist.
• Work closely with SLT team, children, parents/carers and Multi Disciplinary Team, showing empathy and tact in all situations.
• To manage my own schedule/timetable, booking appointments , managing group preparation, answering emails within required time frame and providing telephone calls to support and advise parents.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues, parents/ cares successfully .Ensuring the correct information is passed on and client information is current.
• Form supportive relationships with families taking into consideration the clients needs as well as family's requirements.
• Facilitate parent workshop/trainings to empower parents to support the client.
• Provide support for staff members in schools and in nurseries to implement the therapy programmes.
• Adhere to the NHS (NELFT) core values when supporting colleagues, clients, parent/carers and other agencies.
• Attending safeguarding supervision frequently to support clients and families
• Utilised evidence-based practice methods whilst delivering individualised treatment strategies, ensuring maximum results for each client's unique needs.

Teacher/Teaching Assistant.

• Planning and delivering lessons for Primary school children.

• Mark and grade completed work. Record and monitor grades

• assess and record performance termly.

• Provide one-to-one support for children with special needs. Implementing interventions for children who may require additional support.

• Adhering to EHC plans and IEPs.

• Implement a variety of teaching methods, psychological theories of learning and materials/resources to educate children in all subject areas, providing specialist knowledge in phonics.

• Encouraging and motivating students participation in all subject areas.

• Facilitate intervention programmes for children who require interventions in specific subject areas.

• Managed administrative tasks, aiding smooth running of the class.

• Monitoring, observing and reporting safeguarding concern to the designated Safeguard Lead.

• Creating a fun, engaging and safe environment for children to thrive in.
