Developing and delivering the data management strategy for the Commonwealth Games 2022 Organising Committee (OC) to set the blueprint for future games and deliver a lasting legacy. Ensure analytical capability, data security and governance have a robust framework to allow optimal decision making and risk management assurance.
The role encompassed interaction with 72 Functional Areas including and the OC's extensive supply chain to assess data warehousing potential and ensure GDPR requirements are fully compliant and data governance principles were fully embedded in conjunction with the DCMS audit and risk assurance committee.
Responsibilities were augmented to include Data Protection Officer role which was embedded within the Finance team and a direct report to the Director of Finance and Chief Legal Officer.
Contracting role Business Partnering the Design and Development for Electrical and Vehicle Engineering Function, key responsibility included controlling £400m Research and Development budget and £150m Opex annual budget aligned with the cycle plan to deliver driving experience technology/features for relevant vehicle lines. Forecasting and variance analysis of P&L accounts and preparation of accounts for group publishing and ensuring the correct accounting treatments have been applied in accordance with IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley Controls.
I nvestment appraisal support for future feature requirements and rigorous review of accruals position to ensure that financial performance is accurately represented. Use of key Financial and Operational systems including SAP, JLR custom Engineering database, Power Apps Business Intelligence and Invoice Management systems.
Liaising with International Sales Centres (ISC) for JLR to agree transfer pricing process and policies. Advising ISC's on Group Accounting policies. Implementing and advising on Supplier management inc Value for Money/Tax/Contracts/Proposals.
Key Achievements: Delivering a cross functional data quality cleansing programme for the Engineering Research and Development database to enabled reduction in the JLR liabilities position by £42m.
Delivering high impact marketing multi-channel data strategies and targeting methodologies to B2B (including I&C) and B2C
customers. Managing budget in excess of £2m to drive ROI on Digital Marketing (PPC/SEO/Programmatic Marketing) and lead nurturing journeys to maximise customer retention, build brand consideration and drive loyalty. Building partnerships and affinities to aid brand reputation and enable customer loyalty programme.
Utilising Big Data Techniques to identify/implementation of vertical segmentation, new sales channels and
products/propositions. Using data driven insight and analytics with powerful data managements systems including SAS and SAP to drive strategic decision making and commercial evaluation in conjunction with CRM Tools including Salesforce.
