As a Course Team Leader, my responsibilities included-

• The organisation and development of the IT and Media curriculum to assist the Section Manager
• Making the best use of the team resources including staffing and consumables
• Ensuring high standards and levels of enrolment, retention and achievement in line with expected targets
• Reviewing and promoting use of course materials and best practice within the course team to enhance the quality of learner experience
• Assisting the Section Manager and Head of School in monitoring effective actions that positively impact on course performance
• Liaising with appropriate College staff and external bodies in order to maintain quality
• Developing effective strategies for extracurricular activities and engaging employers in the curriculum design and development

• Teach across a variety of Computing and IT programmes from Level 3 to Level 5
• Plan, deliver and assess Computing and IT programmes from Level 3 to 5
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and resource materials for teaching and learning
• Utilize IT and learning technology to deliver elements of the curriculum
• Prepared assessment plans and schedules and ensured learners are aware of expectations
• Assess students work regularly and providing timely feedback, written and oral
• To ensure learners attend and achieve in all areas of their study programme

• Provide friendly and efficient Service Desk Support, aiming to optimize the existing environment for the benefit of the school
• Assist in the operation of the IT Service Desk, accurately recording user requests in the service desk system
• Deliver Class VR in sessions for pupils
• Prioritize, diagnose and resolve day to day problems relating to hardware and software in a timely manner.
• Unpack, configure and roll-out new IT equipment (software and hardware) as needed
• Install, administer and support school printers and networked photocopiers
• Prioritise, Diagnose and resolve day to day problems relating to hardware and software

• To support all users and run ICT systems on a day-to-day basis
• To diagnose and resolve basic network, software and hardware faults and perform basic maintenance repairs and upgrades
• Assisting with the setup of wireless technologies (wireless routers, handheld transceiver)
• To assist the relevant curriculum leaders to support ICT within the school
• Communicating information to a variety of audiences
• Support the school library with any IT related needs
• Setting up laptops to be used by staff and pupils in need
• Setting up backup solutions to ensure constant availability of data and information
