Implemented facial detection and recognition algorithms using OpenCV and Python, employing Haar Cascade classifiers for face detection and Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) for face recognition. The system was designed to authenticate users by comparing live facial inputs with a pre-trained database of authorized personnel. Upon successful recognition, the Raspberry Pi transmitted control signals via GPIO pins to drive a servo motor, triggering the door’s locking/unlocking mechanism.
