I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA), currently working as an Assurance Assistant Manager at EY Dublin within the Financial Services Division, specifically in Aviation Finance and Asset Management.

In both my current and previous roles, my responsibilities have included:

• Managing up to seven team members on various engagements, and delegating tasks to junior staff to achieve the relevant milestones.
• Providing guidance and support to junior staff members on daily tasks, projects, and objectives.
• Facilitating client interaction.
• Preparation and review of audit objectives relating to significant and fraud risks, such as impairment, high risk estimates, share warrants, going concern and revenue.
• Evaluation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Assisting with client budgets and tracking overtime hours.

I completed my training contract at EY, Johannesburg. My main clients consisted of dual-listed (U.S. SEC) mining and manufacturing clients.

Key responsibilities included:

• Review of client financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Assessment of both key and operational controls in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (PCAOB).
• Review and preparation of significant risk areas relating to inventory, revenue, impairment, and high-risk estimates.
• Communicating with executives regarding control deficiencies and management letter points.
